Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi has thanked the Kingdom [of Saudi Arabia] and its coalition partners for extending all the valuable support in order to restore legitimacy in his country.
Loyalist forces supported by the coalition air campaign have liberated many areas in Yemen and are locked in battle with the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in their bid to wrest control over more areas.
According to official sources, Hadi’s appreciation came during his meeting here on Monday night with Salem bin Khalifa Al Ghafli, the UAE ambassador to Yemen.
Hadi said: “We shall always appreciate the fraternal support of the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom.”
Notably, the appreciation came hours after the Kingdom called for the “unconditional application” of UN Security Council resolution 2216 on Yemen to bring strife torn country out of its crisis.
The call came during the weekly cabinet meeting chaired by Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mohammed nin Naif, deputy premier and minister of the interior.
Significantly, the cabinet meeting emphasized on the importance of the Security Council resolution as well as intensifying efforts to provide humanitarian aid.
Meanwhile, King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid sent the 8th relief plane with eight tons of aid for infants on Tuesday. The assistance is being provided on the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
According to Raafat Al-Sabbagh, official spokesman of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, is going on as per the plans and programs in coordination with the Supreme Committee for the Relief of the legitimate government of Yemen.
Earlier, chairing an extraordinary meeting of the government and advisers, Hadi asserted that all the provinces in Yemen are set to be liberated from the Houthi rebels to put an end to the sufferings of their homeland and its citizens.
