GCC warns on Iran’s threats

INTV, 28 Oct 2013 – Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa, head of the Gulf Cooperation Council National Security and Foreign Affairs Committee, issued a warning on the doorsteps of a council session in Manama regarding Iran’s meddling in the region and the mullahs’ nuclear program which he described as a threat for the six GCC nations.
“Iran’s nuclear program and its effects on the security of the GCC countries will be evaluated,” he said.
“US engagement with Iran after Washington’s failure in the Syria dossier comes as a shock for regional countries, and especially GCC countries, and has caused a threat for the region,” Sheikh Khalid added.
