Friday prayers in Iraq’s six uprising provinces in support of Fallujah

Friday unity prayers were held in Iraq’s six uprising provinces despite Maliki forces shelling and dropping barrel bombs in Fallujah, in addition to setting people’s homes ablaze, Baghdad TV reported. This Friday marked the 510th consecutive day of Iraq’s popular movement.
The popular movement emphasized supporting the tribes and saving the people of Anbar from the destruction they are currently facing. The uprising people said they will not leave the scene until all their demands are met. According to Baghdad TV, simultaneous with the prayers Maliki’s forces began intensely shelling Fallujah and his gunships and heavy artillery continued to fire into the city. Maliki’s forces also attacked the Albusude region in Ramadi.
Baghdad TV cited a security source in Anbar saying, “Army forces launched a major security attack, with units of an armored division and military helicopters heading towards the Albusude region east of Ramadi. They have disconnected all communications in Ramadi 7 days before the attack.”
