According to Reuters, Francois Fillon, French Prime Minister announced: The Iranians must understand that tension has reached an extreme point… in the relationship between Iran and its neighbours. The threat of a nuclear bomb in the hands of this regime is real for the world.
France , like all other countries which share in keeping peace in the world, tries to dissuade Iran of acquiring such ability.

He added: The French President has decided, should the Iranian regime continues its efforts to be converted to an independent nuclear power, to impose the harshest sanctions on that regime. The Foreign Minister(Kouchner) is rightful to say” the situation is dangerous and it must be taken seriously”

The French Prime Minister added: I think we haven’t gone far enough on imposing sanctions. Also I suppose that we have to listen to the Iranian people, the people who don’t necessarily confirm unanimously the ruling regime’ policies.
