During a speech in the French National Parliament, French Prime Minister Francois Fillon, said that France was concerned, like all members of the international community, of the Iranian ambitions for Uranium enrichment; such a strategy clearly creates a nuclear proliferation problem.

He emphasized that France wants the intensification of economic sanctions against Iran and at the same time increasing diplomatic initiatives.

French Prime Minister said that the Iranian regime should be convinced that acquiring nuclear weapon should not be considered a security guarantee.

He added the outlook of acquiring nuclear weapon by Iran would cause concern in the Middle East and if such a thing happens, that would be “a threat to peace” in the region.
