Christophe de Margerie, general director of French Total Petroleum Company, said that the international isolation and crisis is the reason for the halt in TOTAL’s oil projects in Iran under the mullahs’ rule.

The reporter of Liberation daily, published in France, asked “Why did you stop investing in Iran?”

He replied: At this critical juncture, we can’t invest tens of billion Euros in Iran; therefore we have left our projects on halt; we should wait till Iran returns to the international community.
