French FM and His Spokesman Underlined Necessity of Further Sanctions on Iran

On Sep. 14, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner during his Middle East trip stated his accord with Nicolas Sarkozy views that underlined Iranian regime armed with nuclear weapon is unacceptable.

Kouchner called for firm practical actions to face mullahs’ regime nuclear program and said: “sanctions should be implemented; also contacts must be made with Iranian people. The Iranians outside of Iran especially those who didn’t vote for Ahmadinejad should be told that there are other solutions other than war. A big population exists in Iran that feels to be isolated and lonely. May be, they should be spoken with.”

Meanwhile the Foreign Ministry spokesman said: “our intention is to force the Iranian regime to suspend fully its enrichment activities. As stated in resolution 1747, further sanctions must be practiced in case of Iranian regime incompliance with the Security Council resolutions… and we seek approval of fresh sanctions and we prefer this job takes place in the Security Council framework.”
