AFP, Paris, April 4, 2010 – French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner on Sunday condemned as ’barbaric’ the triple suicide car bombings targeting embassies in Baghdad that left 30 dead.
The near-simultaneous blasts near the Egyptian, Iranian and German embassies left 224 people wounded, Iraqi officials said.
’I strongly condemn these terrorist actions, which are also barbaric acts, and whose perpetrators must be prosecuted and made to answer for their actions,’ said Kouchner in a statement.
The foreign minister offered condolences to the victims’ families and expressed France’s solidarity with the Iraqis in their ’struggle against terrorism’.
