In an interview with Al-Hurra TV, General Wafiq al-Samarrai, former Iraqi National Security advisor, said: “The reports that are daily propagated by the US forces, MNF-I, security systems and the Iraqi government indicate presence of many bases for training armed groups and death squads inside Iran. A few days ago, 12 members of the Hizbullah battalions headed by Abu Moussa were arrested who confessed that they had been trained by the Lebanese Hizbullah cadres in Qods Force’s training camps inside Iran.”

General Wafiq al-Samarrai added: “Unfortunately, the Iranian regime is the source of destruction of Iraq. The Iranian government and its organs such as Qods Force are the cause of export of death to Iraq and this has affected the security situation in Iraq. I believe that by changing the US President, not much will be changed in Iraq; I want to say that the danger and the main threat is coming from East of Iraq; Iran is the main threat, and thus I ask the Americans to pay their attention to Iran, because the head of snake lies in Iran.
