French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius announced the possibility of Assad being re-elected is an issue that will lead to further cruelty and exploitation of the Syrian people.
France’s top diplomat stressed there are moderate and committed groups in Syria, and he called on various countries to rise to the support of the Syrian people.
Fabius warned Assad is fully responsible for what is taking place in Syria and the 21st century, which to this day has left thousands of victims and left millions displaced.
The French government will place its utmost effort to end this global crisis and respect the Syrian people’s rights, he added.
