Safwat al-Sharif, Egyptian Senate speaker, condemned the clerical regime for broadcasting a film against former President of that country and provocative measures.
According to Reuters the Senate Speaker asked the Iranian regime on Sunday to stop showing a film about assassination of Anwar Sadat, former President of Egypt.
In a statement released by the Egypt’s state news agency MENA, Safwat Sharif said: This irresponsible behavior of the Iranian regime must be stopped as soon as possible; the Iranian regime has nothing in freedom of expression to take pride in.
Al-Hayat wrote in this regard: the disputes between Egypt and Iranian regime are far beyond just showing a film. Cairo objects Iranian regime’s meddling in Lebanon and Palestine. Egypt also believes Iran has backed the violence created by religious forces in Egypt.
