The Egyptian Presidency has called for uprooting terrorism sources in this country. In a statement issued by the Egyptian Presidential Office a call is made to the international community to be alert on the fight against terrorism and this is not possible with double standards.
This statement is issued at a time when a number of explosions rocked Cairo and in one which a police general, in charge of investigations in Cairo’s Jize region, was killed and 5 other officers, with a brigadier general among them, being all injured. A group calling itself the Soldiers of Egypt claimed responsibility for these bombings.
The Egyptian Army has to this day pointed its finger at the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization.
