Tuesday, March 10, 2009

In an interview with CNN TV, Jamal Mubarak, son of the Egyptian President and one of the leaders of Egypt’s ruling party, said: “Our differences with the Iranian regime are deep on various grounds.”

CNN asked him: How concerned is Egypt that Iran might acquire nuclear weapon and this matter might change the region’s geopolitics drastically?

Mubarak replied:” We have deep differences with Iran over our viewpoints and our perspective of the region; we have deep differences in how to pursue peace process. We have differences in our views about the region moving toward peace and conciliation. We also have differences on how to achieve it.”
