In an interview with Salah Addin TV, Dr. Saleh Mutlaq, leader of the Nationalist Arabic Faction in the Iraqi Parliament, defended his remarks against the Iranian regime’s meddling and in defense of the PMOI and said: Instead of raising issues like oil stealing by the Iranian regime and the recent explosion that in Al-Hurriya district by this regime that left 200 Iraqi people killed, the representatives of the Shiite coalition spent their time discussing about the session held by the PMOI .
Dr. Mutlaq asked: To whom this session belonged, the PMOI or Iraqis? Had the people come from abroad or they were Iraqi southerners? The people said we are Iraqi Shiites who have stood against the Iranian regime; we ask all Arabs and those who accuse us: Should we participate in such a session or not? If we don’t participate in such a session then where do we participate?
Dr. Saleh Mutlaq said: The participants said that the Iranian regime meddled in all their internal affairs which was not tolerable anymore; the Iranian regime felt threat of this issue and sent explicit orders for a group in the parliament. The Parliament was divided; on one side there were those who were trained in Iran and their thought were “export of revolution.”
