Douma displaced people arrive to north Syria’s al-Bab

Orient net, April 4, 2018 – Buses arrived in the northern Syrian city of Al Bab on Tuesday (April 3), carrying the first patch of displaced families and the injured from Douma, Orient News correspondent reported.

According to our correspondent, the convoy, composed of 22 buses and 2 ambulances, carried 1141 forcibly displaced people from Douma city, including 400 children and 316 women.

The displacement came after Army of Islam, a Syrian faction holding the last opposition-pocket in Ghouta, held long negotiations with the Russian side.

Russian-backed regime militias have captured nearly all of eastern Ghouta in a ferocious assault that began in February, killing more than 1,700 civilians in Ghouta.
