Sheikh Hamid Khalifeh, General Sheikh of the Saedi tribe in Iraq’s Diyala Province said in an interview: “We the Iraqi tribes condemn all criminal measures perpetrated against Ashraf residents. They are our guests. Whatever happened to human values? These attacks are being carried out against men and women and patients who are deprived of medicine and treatment. We announce our solidarity with Ashraf residents. As Arabs and Muslims, as it was in the manners and traditions of the Prophet Mohammad, we must uphold generosity towards guests and give treatment to patients and the injured. Where are these values which the Prophet was known for? At this time and in this place, we call for Islam, freedom, human rights and especially protection and support for Ashraf residents.”
