Iraqi MP Nahede al-Daeni from the Iraqiya Coalition said MPs from Diyala Province stand against Maliki’s violations.
“In protest to violations of Maliki’s government and torturing prisoners to death taking place in Diyala Province prisons, MPs from this province will stand against the political trend,” al-Daeni said.
“Due to the actions of Maliki’s government towards the people, there is the possibility of an explosive atmosphere enraging in Diyala Province,” she warned.
This Iraqi MP criticized the silence of Maliki’s government in the face of these tortures and violence in prisons, and the fact that there is no barrier to stop this series of crimes.
“During the past two months just in Diyala Province 5 prisoners have lost their lives,” she said.
“There is a huge amount of anger in Diyala due to the approach taken by Maliki’s government and the security apparatus against the innocent inmates in prisons,” al-Daeni continued.
