Iraqi Parliament Speaker Osama Al-Nujaifi described the continued formation of Dijla Operations Commands by Nouri Maliki as in violation of the Iraqi constitution.
“Any attempt to provoke the disputes between Baghdad and Kurdistan is in no one’s interest, and any attempt to carry out a war without referring to the Parliament will be illegal,” he said in a press conference in the parliament.
“We will not accept a war inside Iraq. We must rely on peace, national understanding and the constitution,” he added.
