An Iraqi Member of Parliament, on condition of anonymity, told Bahraini daily Akhbar al-Khaleej: “The preliminary interrogations of Ali al-Lami, a leader of Iran-affiliated militias and general director of De-Baathification Committee, indicates that he has given information about a great number of Iraqi personalities to the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence (MIOS) to assassinate them.”

Among other things, Iraqi MP mentioned the list of names, particulars and residence address of 450 persons that had been given to the Iranian MIOS by al-Lami.

According to this source, the US forces have obtained confession from al-Lami that he was ordered to assassinate a number of Iraqi parliamentarians and some journalists who out spoke against the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq.

Some sources said that Ali al-Lami would be possibly tried in the court within next few weeks on charge of assassination.
