The US House of Representatives passed a bill permitting the Obama administration to provide a $1 billion loan to Ukraine. This bill, passed with 378 votes in favor, also mentions sanctions previously announcedby the US government against Russia.
This bill had already been passed by the US Senate and will be presented for US President Barack Obama’s signature to be implemented.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney welcomed the ratification of the bill in the US Congress and said this will support Ukraine in its economic and political reconstruction.
