Dr. Mohammed Sheikhli, Iraqi Jurist, President of National Justice Center condemned United Nation’s silence about torture and insidious crimes against women in Maliki’s jails and said: UNAMI Chief Martin Kobler has become an employee of Maliki’s government.
In his interview with al-Rafidain TV, he said: we have called on concerned international organizations to disclose these clear outrages against Iraqi people for the international community. At the same time, I hold Martin Kobler, as UN representative in Iraq, responsible, since he bears no responsibility in this regard. While UN office in Iraq should be the patron of observation of international law and monitoring them in Iraq, unfortunately we see Martin Kobler has turned into an employee of Maliki’s government and takes stances in support of his infringements.
He said: Kobler is going to present a report to the Security Council saying that his office in Iraq is still serving Iraqi people, but in reality, he shares the creation of suffering for Iraqi people and Iraqi guests.
