Multi-National Force-Iraq, Baghdad, 11 November 2008- Coalition forces killed an alleged criminal and apprehended two suspected Katai’b Hezbollah members during separate operations Tuesday morning in Baghdad’s Adhamiyah district.

Acting on intelligence information, Coalition forces targeted a key Katai’b Hezbollah leader, believed to be responsible for recent attacks against Iraqi citizens and Iraqi and Coalition forces.
Coalition forces approached the home of the suspected terrorist, and were confronted by an individual in a nearby house. When he approached forces with a hand gun, Coalition forces perceived hostile intent, engaged the man and killed him.

In a separate operation in Adhamiyah, forces apprehended two other suspected criminals without incident.
Katai’b Hezbollah is assessed to be a surrogate of Iran and its members are believed to be responsible for recent attacks against Iraqi citizens and Iraqi and Coalition forces.
