In the first Democrat presidential debate in the US held Tuesday night local time all candidates described the unrest in the Middle East and nuclear weapons as the main threat for American national security.
This debate, held by CNN, was mainly focused on domestic policies.
On foreign policy Hillary Clinton described Iran as an important challenge for US security.
On Syria Clinton said she would stand against Russian President Vladimir Putin’s bullying. The US should establish safe zones in Syria so that people wouldn’t be forced to flee outside of the country. It is also important that the US make it perfectly clear for Russia that it is not acceptable for Putin to create chaos in Syria and carry out airstrikes for the Assad regime.
