The death toll in China after a major blast has risen to 50 after a massive explosion in the city of Tianjin. Authorities are looking to find the reason behind this explosion.
Thick, black smoke is still billowing from the site and firefighters have suspended their efforts to put out the huge fire. They say they just don’t know enough about what chemicals they are dealing with. It’s not yet clear what caused the explosions, but state media report the initial blast happened at a warehouse.
More than 500 people are injured and dozens of firefighters are reported missing. Many people were injured by flying glass as the explosion blew out windows several kilometers away.
