The Syrian national opposition issued a statement condemning the international community’s inaction regarding events in Syria and the massacres committed by Bashar Assad’s military troops, Al Arabiya TV reported on Friday, August 21st.
This statement comes at the 2nd anniversary of the Syrian people’s massacre with chemical weapons near Damascus, and at least 1,500 civilians losing their lives. The statement calls on the United Nations Security Council to hold criminals accountable and emphasized on stopping the Assad regime in committing massacres that are still taking place on a daily basis in various Syrian cities.
