
AFP, Montreal, 7 September 2012(translated from French) – Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) congratulated Canada on Friday for closing its mission in Tehran and expelling all Iranian diplomats from Ottawa.
In a statement recently obtained by AFP, the leader of the People’s Mojahedin, the main branch of the NCRI and a resistance that stationed in Iraq long ago under Saddam Hussein support, describing it as a “courageous act” approved that “diplomatic and economic relations with this regime are against the interests of the Iranian people”.
