Egypt called on Palestinian and Israeli officials to restart talks on a permanent ceasefire and return to Cairo to re-continue indirect talks, Al Arabiya TV reported in further Middle East news.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said the Palestinian delegation led by Azzam al-Ahmed is invited to return to the negotiations in order to discuss a long-term ceasefire and other issues that are on the table.
