Brazil lawmaker expects 330 lower house votes for pension reform

Reuters, May 9, 2017 -The Brazilian lawmaker in charge of writing a draft of a new pension reform, Arthur Maia, expects 330 lower house members to vote in favor of the bill, surpassing the 308 votes needed to pass the measure.

A full house vote on the controversial proposal was originally planned for this week but was pushed back to give time for the government to gather the necessary two-thirds support in the lower house.
