A Ukrainian solider and a pro-Russia paramilitary force member were killed at a gun battle in a Crimea military base. It now appears the disputes in Crimea have entered a military phase.
The Ukrainian Army spokesman said their forces in Crimea have been permitted to use their weapons in self-defense.
The Ukrainian interim prime minister said we know quite well what motives are behind the scene. Russian military representatives began opening fire on Ukrainian military forces, adding we consider this as a war crime.
In the meantime, hundreds of protesters in a gathering in Crimea broke the barriers of a Ukraine naval base and raided the grounds. This incident took place a day after the agreement annexing the Crimea peninsula to Russia. Masked military gunmen entered the buildings and raised the Russian flags.
