Senator Els Schelfhout, Member of Foreign Relation’s Committee of Belgium Senate from the Christian Democratic Party (main party of the ruling coalition), questioned Belgian Foreign Minister about the accomplished measures to put into force the Parliament resolution for delisting the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) and called him to follow up the matter in the coming session of the European Union Council of Ministers.

In her statement, Senator Els Schelfhout asserted: To my belief , the Belgian government , by these investigations, must strongly supports removing the PMOI from the proscribed organizations; the Belgian Parliament’s resolutions have clearly announced this issue and keeping the PMOI in the terrorist list after the British Court of Appeals verdict is void of any legal basis.
