
Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary General, asked for disarmament of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
In his report to the UN Security Council, he asked for not intervening of foreign forces in Lebanon and stressed that such interventions might deteriorate Lebanon’s situation and makes the outlook of that country’s crisis gloomier.
In this report, Ban Ki-moon accused Syria of making its border regions with Lebanon insecure and said he had received intelligence from the regional countries confirming that Syria had sent weapons to its border regions with Lebanon for destabilizing these areas.
