Baghdad bomb blast targets Iraqiya Coalition Parliamentary President

A bomb blast rocked west Baghdad on Thursday, targeting Iraqiya Coalition Parliamentary President Salman al-Jumaili, al-Babeliya TV reported.
A security source said this attack took place in the Abu-Qarib district in western Baghdad targeting Salman Jumaili’s convoy, adding the MP was not hurt from the incident. This source said a number of those who accompanied Jumaili were wounded, one being in critical conditions.
Salman Jamili said elements who have infiltrated Iraq’s security forces in the Abu-Qarib district attempted to assassinate him, adding this incident took place exactly where previous attacks had targeted Iraqi MP Hamed Mutlak, Islamic University professor Ziad al-Ani and al-Anbar Province Governor Qassem al-Fahdawi.
