Orient Net, MARCH 6, 2018— Another chlorine gas attack targeted besieged Eastern Ghouta in Syria, after another day of heavy bombardment by the Assad regime and reports of 99 people killed in the area.

Assad regime militias targeted the city of Hammouriya with toxic chlorine gas on Monday (Mar. 5) night, according to activists on Twitter and a local media centre.

Syria Civil Defense rescue group reported on twitter 30 casualties – 13 of them women and 15 children – who were evacuated following an attack by regime militias using chlorine gas in the residential part of the city.

99 were killed by the regime’s air and artillery attacks that took place on Monday (March 5), according to Orient News correspondents.

The regime bombardment campaign, launched on February 18, has killed at least 772 people, including children and women, according to the White Helmets’ statistics.

A UN Security Resolution demanding a 30-day nationwide ceasefire was adopted last Saturday (February 24), but was never implemented.
