Al-Seyassah, Berlin/Damascus, 20 Sep 2012 – With violence and bombings continuing across Syrian, Western intelligence services revealed yesterday the Syrian Army, with cooperation provided by Revolutionary Guards elements, carried out chemical weapons tests east of Aleppo late last month.
Citing eyewitnesses, the German Spiegel daily reported 5 to 6 empty canisters of chemical substances designed for chemical attacks were fired by tanks or jet fighters in the al-Dariham region in a desert region near the center of al-Shanasir. This is Syria’s largest center for chemical weapons experiments.
This magazine revealed Iranian officers, without a doubt belonging to the Revolutionary Guards, went to this area with helicopters for this very purpose.
It is worth reminding that this center, officially known as the Center for Scientific Evaluations, is Syria’s largest complex for chemical weapons experiments. Iranian and North Korean experts are active there producing chemical substances such as sarin and mustard gas.
