In Syria armed rebels seized a number of building complexes on Tuesday, August 4th after staging attacks against Assad troops around the al-Mazza military airport, Al Jazeera reported. These battles raged on in the northern areas of the city of Dariya, located west of Damascus. In these attacks the Syrian rebels inflicted heavy casualties and damages to Assad’s forces, and went on to capture a large amount of weapons and ammunition.
In response Assad’s forces resorted to airstrikes on residential areas, leaving at least civilians killed and many others injured.
