Armed conflict between Al-Anbar residents & Maliki’s forces

Abdul-qader Nael, spokesman of the Ramadi protest camp in Iraq said, “Maliki’s special forces, known as SWAT, entered various tribal areas and clashed with the residents in al-Anbar Province. Armed tribal men also entered the clashes against Maliki’s troops, forcing them to retreat from the area.”
Armed tribal men in al-Anbar have established formations in towns and cities of this province. Reports also indicate people are ready to defend themselves, especially after a message issued by senior Iraqi Mufti Sheikh al-Saadi calling on people to be ready to defend al-Anbar Province.
