Argentine President Called For Arrest of Former Iranian Top Officials Involved In Buenos Aires Killing

The Argentine President Nestor Kirchner in his speech at the U.N. General Assembly sought the hand over of 6 top (former) Tehran officials involved in the terrorist attack in Buenos Aires.

Kirchner in his speech said the Argentine judicature system called for international cooperation for arresting 9 people involved in planning and executing the attack in July 18, 1994, in Buenos Aires. Subsequently the administrative committee of Interpol in a meeting unanimously called for arrest of six Iranians and a Lebanese citizen involved in the attack. He continued, “Now at this U.N. General Assembly we have specific request that the relevant decision by Interpol be approved and supported. We hope Iran on the framework of the law pays respect to Argentine judicature request and accept it and fully cooperate with Argentinean judges till all whom responsible for such act come before justice, reported Reuters.

Reuters added that Kirchner told the Iranian delegation that he seeks the arrest of six Iranians for whom the Interpol had issued arrest warrants. The six are, Ali Akbar Velayati then FM, mullah Ali Fallahian head of the MOIS at the time, Muhsen Rezaee Commander of IRGC at the time, Ahmad Vahidi head of the Qods force at time, Muhsen Rabani and Ahmad Reza Asghari tow diplomats at time, Imad Mughnia former head of security section of Hezbollah of Lebanon.
