On Dec. 23, Asharqiya T.V. reported that the participants in the second Arab Lawyers Unity conference in Cairo, Egypt, announced their opposition to the plan for dividing Iraq based on ethnicity and religious which is the demand of the Iranian regime.
They also strongly condemned foreign interventions in Iraq. They formed a legal rights committee to follow the violations of human rights and torture of citizens in governmental prisons and detention centers in Iraq.
The head of Iraqi Lawyers Syndicate, Dhia al-Saadi from Cairo said: “the crimes committed in Iraq are inhumane crimes and against the international laws. The torture taking place in the prisons is prohibited by the international agreements and considered inhumane, and providing legal immunity to those involved in torturing people is against the international laws.
