Arab-language media outlets on Friday aired live footages and reports of the Iraqi people’s million-man marches staged in the country’s six uprising provinces. In these demonstrations millions of worshippers chanted “al-Anbar is the symbol of resistance and perseverance”, stressing to continue their uprising until all their demands are fulfilled.
Speakers at the demonstrations in various provinces expressed their outrage on Iran’s meddling and Islamic fundamentalism represented by Daesh (ISIS) forces that call them terrorists. The speakers encouraged the people to continue their perseverance against state forces.
Sheikh Ali Hatam, emir of the Doleim tribe – one of Iraq’s biggest tribes – said in an interview with al-Fallujah TV, “We will not accept any medication, other than Ahmed al-Alavani (arrested Iraqi MP) is released, the army to exit the cities and the US-trained SWAT forces and other militants to exit al-Anbar. In that case we will be ready for talks… This revolution will continue and in the upcoming days we will see that neither the Iranian regime nor any other party can silence it.”
