In n interview with Salahuddin TV, Dr. Ayad Allawi, Former Iraqi Prime Minister, said : The Quds Force is part of government ruling Iran and the United States should explicitly and under the UN supervision gives ultimatum to the Iranian regime regarding that regime’s meddling in Iraq.

Q: Do you think Quds Force designation in the US terrorist list has had any effect in reduction of violence in Iraq?

Dr. Allawi: This decision should lead to abolish violence in Iraq. What is Quds Force? The Quds force is part of the Iranian government. The Quds Force is not a foreign issue to have come from some place else. The United States should propound the issue clearly and transparently under the UN supervision to give ultimatum to the Iranian regime in order to guarantee Iraq’s independence and non-intervention in its affairs.

Ayad Allawi described the Iranian regime’s meddling a big problem for the whole region the deadly effects of which reach from Afghanistan and Pakistan to Somalia, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine and Sudan.

Allawi added: The Iranian President’s remarks “When the United States leave Iraq we enter to fill the vacuum” is a kind of humiliation to the Iraqis and has deteriorated the atmosphere between the two neighbors.
