Dr. Ayad Allawi, former Iraqi Prime Minister, called for formation of national salvation government and said: Of course, as long as the Iranian regime’s meddling continues in Iraq, formation of such a government is unlikely.

According to Al-Quds al-Arabi daily, published in London, Allawi criticized Maliki’s government and said: After 2 years of formation of the government and being much supported by the Americans, this government hasn’t had any achievements as to the issue of national reconciliation and establishment of security in Iraq.

Allawi added: The reality on the ground has proven that the function of Maliki’s government had no corresponding to Iraqis’ demands and hasn’t contributed to Iraq’s stability; rather this government has strengthened sectarian rationing and formation of armed militias; now the government lives a chaotic situation.
