In an interview with Salahuddin TV, Ayad Allawi, former Iraqi Prime Minister called Ahmadinejad’ remarks regarding filling Iraqi security vacuum as flagrant meddling in Iraqi internal affairs and intolerable.

Ayad Allawi added: “The Iraqi government and politico-social Iraqi forces must know that we want the Iranian regime not to intervene in our internal affairs. The Iranian regime explicitly says it is opposing Allawi and publishes it in its press with mentioning the name. Isn’t this matter an Iraqi internal subject? I am part of Iraq’s society and Iraq’s reality and when a government opposes me and my position, this is considered as flagrant meddling in Iraq’s internal affairs.”
