The Iraqiya Coalition, led by former premier Dr. Ayad Allawi, issued a statement accusing Maliki of intimidating the Iraqi Parliament and intervening in the work of the judiciary.
Allawi said Maliki is intimating the Parliament and the judiciary with his remarks claiming the Federal Court does not ratify the bill limiting the terms of the prime minister and the Iraqi Parliament has no right to enact such laws.
Maliki is attempting to annul the legislative role of the Parliament, interpret the constitution according to his own will and terminate the peaceful power transfer principle, the Iraqiya statement continued.
