Al Jazeera TV: Iraqi Parliament postpones talks on prime minister post

In Iraq news Al Jazeera TV reported the Iraqi Parliament held its session on Monday but there were no talks on appointing a prime minister from the largest faction and this issue was postponed to Thursday.
This postponement was due to the disputes between the fractions of the National Alliance front consisting of the Shiite parliaments.
Disputes are between the State of Law led by Maliki, whose term has come to an end yet insists on his candidacy for the prime ministry post, and the Ahrar faction led by the Sadr movements and al-Muwaten, which completely deny Maliki’s candidacy for a third term as premier, Al Jazeera TV added.
Al Jazeera added the alliance of national forces consisting of the majority of Sunni MPs announced they will only vote on a candidate that is agreed upon by the National Alliance faction and are demanding a replacement other than Maliki.
