Al Hurra TV reported US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel delivered a report on developments in Iraq and Afghanistan to a Senate Armed Forces Committee behind closed doors.
Al Hurra added many in Washington are seeking Maliki to step down and the Republicans are in one voice on this issue. They believe he was the element that ignited the current clashes in Iraq, Al Hurra TV added.
