
Al-Arabiya TV reported: The Shiite political coalition which brought Nouri Maliki to Power is unexpectedly being collapsed; Basra that was once described as Iraq’s fuel storage is turned to a city where conflicts are seen.

Ahmad Massoudi from Sadr current told Al-Arabiya: I warn all parties that are in the government, particularly Daawa Party and SIIC and its military wing, Badr; because they have launched this attack.
Baha al-Aaraji, Member of Parliament from Sadr current said: This is a political purge; every body is frustrated from this government; some political parties are tied to foreign countries and this affiliation opens the way for the foreign intervention.
Aqil al-Fariji, Basra Province Council’s spokesman, said: Everybody in Basra opposes armed elements and asks for rule of law. We are against what is happening; there was no need for this campaign.
