Al Arabiya Al Hadath: Maliki must be the 1st jailed following al-Abadi decision

The order issued by Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to sack vice presidents and deputy prime ministers have been welcomed nationwide by political currents.
Al-Tagheer TV reported Iraqi President Fuad Masum issued a statement emphasizing on political and economic reforms and holding corrupt individuals accountable for their crimes.
“Haider al-Abadi should hand over Maliki to court in order to complete his orders,” said former Neinawa governor Athil al-Nujaifi.
Al Arabiya TV reported Ayad Allawi and Osama al-Nujaifi have accepted al-Abadi’s reforms on the condition that Maliki is set aside. Sacking Nouri Maliki is more important than all other branches because the Badr Organization and Asaeb al-Haq militants are Maliki’s allies.
“We support al-Abadi’s reforms. Today no one dares to stand against the reforms because the people and religious leaders are behind these changes,” said Hamed al-Khazra, head of the Iraq Muwaten parliamentary faction.
Al Arabiya Al Hadath TV reported the first individual that must be thrown to jail is Maliki… naturally, Maliki was toppled in this decision.
Al Arabiya Al Hadath emphasized: Maliki is the first suspect in all the chaos sweeping the country because he ruled over Iraq for 8 years and is accused of destroying around $800 billion of the people’s wealth. Sources say despite all his faction’s links, Maliki will be the first person thrown to jail after this decision and its confirmation by the Council of Ministers.
