Shamkhani, the Secretary General of Iran’s national Security Council insisted on the importance and the vitality of the mullahs’ meddling in other countries, particularly in Iraq and Syria. He said it is a vital thing for us and if we do not shed blood in Iraq, we would have to shed blood in Sistan, Azerbaijan, Shiraz,Isfahan and other parts of Iran.
Fars News agency, the mouthpiece of the Revolutionary Guards quoted regime’s Secretary General of the national Security Council as saying: Naïve and rumor tellers are spreading lies these days that what is our business interfering in Iraq or Syria?
Shamkhani replied by pointing to the recent killing of brigadier General Hamid Taghavi, a commander of the IRGC forces in Iraq and said: “If people like Taghavi don’t give their blood [in Iraq], we would have shed more blood inside Iran in cities like Isfahan, Shiraz and Azerbaijan…”.
