Aharqia TV – July 12, 2010 – In an interview with the Asharq Al-Awsat daily, Iraqi Vice President and senior National Alliance bloc leader Adel Abdul Mahdi said Nouri Maliki’s premiership term is over and he is actually after legal means to remain in power. Abdul Mahdi said such measures will not allow the peaceful transition of power and make the elections and constitution meaningless. Abdul Mahdi explained the current government as solely an executive administration and has issued a letter in this regard to the Iraqi Parliament and Federal Court.
