
The Syrian Human Rights Network reported 72 people have been killed by Assad elements in various provinces across the country, Al Arabiya TV reported on April 23rd. Activists reported intense clashes between Free Syrian Army rebels and regime elements in south Damascus, and heavy shelling conducted by Assad tanks in the Jobar of Damascus. Activists said after bombing a tunnel in Daria by the rebels, dozens of Assad regime and Hezbollah forces were left killed and injured.
Assad helicopter gunships also dropped two barrel bombs in the Neirab neighborhood in Aleppo. Near Aleppo when the injured were being pulled out of the rubble Assad choppers threw more barrel bombs to create even more havoc and destruction.
